C++ Software Engineer

Job Summary:

Contract Software Engineering role responsible for software design in a complex embedded environment, utilizing primarily C++. Other relevant technologies include Qt, HTML, PHP, XML, serial communications, and network communications (IP) on Linux, VxWorks, FreeRTOS, and Windows platforms. Responsibilities include planning, design, development, and testing both on simulators and hardware. Candidate will be working onsite, M-F, within client's Engineering department at their Wilsonville, Oregon office. Assignment is expected to last up to six months with some potential become a full time role in the future.

Requirements:
- Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional software design role using C++ as a primary design language.
- Familiarity with MS Office and modern source control and defect tracking tools is required.
- Experience working in a requirements or test-driven design environment is preferred.
- Other relevant experience includes real-time embedded design, highly multi-threaded design, communications protocols, closed-loop controllers, and high-reliability software design.
- Candidate must be US citizen or Green Card holder due to our client's government contracts.
